Deformity Correction Surgery

What is deformity?

The process of altering or modifying musculoskeletal malformations—most typically a leg deformity, foot deformity, or ankle deformity, but it may be utilised for deformities of practically any portion of the body—through surgery or the use of orthotic devices is referred to as deformity correction. Congenital and developmental deformities, which are often present at birth and worsen as the patient grows older; physical traumas, such as sports injuries, car accidents, or falls; and diseases such as diabetes, obesity, cerebral palsy, and osteomyelitis are all common causes of deformities addressed by deformity correction.
